The above notice is copied from the Yorkville(Ill.) Record. The bride is a relative of the Wheeler family, of Scott township, Linn county, Kansas, where she visited last fall.

Hagemena, at the residence of the bride's father, C.L. Stanton, a prosperous father of Mill Creek township. Mrs. McNulty was well known here as she attended the high school several years. Mr. McNulty is the son of Mrs. J.C. McNulty, who with her husband was an early settler in the county. This young couple will reside near Morrowville and as they begin there matrimonial life they have the respect and good wishes of a host of friends who wish them success.

    3. The Washington Register Washington County Thursday April 14, 1904 Mrs. Minnie RECKEWAY, wife of Mr. Reckeway, of Linn died Monday, April 11, of lung fever. She leaves a husband and four small children, the youngest of whom is but nine weeks old, and a brother and siter to mourn her loss. The body was taken to Elk Creek, Neb. for interment. A host of friends sympathize with the family in their sad bereavement.

    3. The Washington Register Washington County Thursday April 14, 1904 Jerry L. Coder, was born in Mahaska county, Iowa, April 4, 1860, and came to Washington county, Kansas, with his parents in 1869 who located five miles southwest of this city, where he died April 11, being 44 years old. He has always lived an exemplary life having the esteem of the community. He was a member of the M.E. church and during his continued illness expressed an abiding faith in God. He was a member of the M.W.of A. of this city and also a member of the I.O.O.F here and was buried under the auspices of the last named order. The funeral services were held at the Penwell school house and a fine discourse was preached by the Rev. Life of the M.E. pastor of Greenleaf. The deceased leaves an aged father and mother and other relatives also many friends, who sincerely sympathize with his father and mother in this bereavement in their declining years. The remains were interred in the city cemetery.

    3. The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday March 5, 1881 Mr. A.D. WAY died Thursday morning at his home in this city, of consumption, at the age of about 37 years. He has been in poor health for several months, and for some time prior to his death it was realized that he could not last very long. Mr. Way was one of the old settlers in this city, and leaves a wife and child to mourn his loss. His funeral will be held this Friday afternoon, under the auspices of the Odd Fellows lodge of La Cygne, to which order he belonged.

    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday September 30, 1909 Wm. Wesley, seventh child of Wm. N. and Rachel L. BRITTAIN, was born at Lamont, Pettus county, Missouri, March 15th, 1878 and died at his home near Valley Falls, Sept. 22, 1909, aged 31 years, 6 months and 7 days. He was married to Miss Mary PUCKETT, May 2, 1901. He leaves a widow, an adopted daughter, an aged mother, two sisters, and one brother to mourn his departure but goes on to join a father, one brother and three sisters where no sorrow or death ever comes. He was converted at the Boyle tent meetings in 1905 and joined the M.E. church at Dunavant, but later transferred his membership to Valley Falls. All through his sickness he never complained, was always cheerful, and told his relatives if his time had come he was ready and willing to go, as he feared no evil. And when death came he met it without fear. And while we mourn for him we know that our loss is his eternal gain and we shall soon join him never to part again. Card of Thanks. We desire to convey our heartfelt thanks to the friends who so kindly assisted us through the recent sickness and death of our husband, son and brother. Mrs. Mary E. Brittainn, Mrs. Rachel L. Mrs. Margaret BEAN familiarly known as grandma Bean, aged 91 years, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. McKANNA, in Russel county. Was brought here and buried by the side of her husband, Reuben Bean. Deceased had formerly lived in this vicinity many years and was widely known and loved. Rev. Jesse Zabriskie preached her funeral at Methodist church, Friday, the edifice was filled with mourning relatives and friends. Her son George BEAN and family, Mrs. BUCKLEY of Armourdale, McKANNAS from Luray, Russel county, the JUDY's, GARDNER's, HOUSH, GWARTNEY's, and other well known people of Jefferson county attende the funeral.

    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday September 30, 1909 Death of Little Grandchild. Grandma J.W. COOLING east of town is in receipt of the sad word of the death of her little granddaughter Birdean at Grenola, Kansas. Alma Birdean CLARK, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lambert CLARK, died August 27, 1909, aged one year and twenty-one days, after a short but severe illness. She was a patient sufferer. The funeral was held August 28, at 2 p.m. from the family residence conducted by the family pastor, Rev. H. W. Todd. He took for a text, "I will go to her. She can not return to me." The music was furnished by the Ladies Quartett who very appropriately and tenderly rendered as one of the selections, "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus." The large concourse of friends and the beautiful floral offerings attested the little darling had captured the hearts of others as well as father, mother, brothers and sisters.

    3. The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday November 15, 1928 H. Riggle Passed Away. The sudden death of H. RIGGLE last Thursday afternoon came as shock to the many friends of the family. Mr. Riggle had been suffering from leakage of the heart and other complications for some time, but his condition was not generally known to be so serious. He was able to be up Thursday, and seemed to be suffering no discomfort other than a drowsiness of which he spoke to his daughter, Miss Eldearia Riggle, when she was home at noon. Later in the afternoon Mrs. Rigle assisted him to bed, where he fell asleep and failed to waken. The sympathy of friends goes out to the grief stricken family, the members of which were very devoted and who are feeling keenly the loss of the husband and father. Hiram Riggle was born August. 6, 1849, near Chambersburg, Lancaster county, Penn. In early life he came with his parents to Lewisville, Ind., where he grew to manhood and where he met Elizbeth Elmira FLETCHER, who became his wife in 1878. Soon after his marriage he came with his wife to Kansas and settled at Harper, but moved westward with the pioneers to Stevens county in 1893. He came to Liberal and established his home at the present location, where he has lived for about 35 years. During his ling residence in Liberal he never moved from the block in which his home was located at the time of his death. Liberal News.--10-28-28.

The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday November 15, 1928 David SHIPPEN was born in Wayne county, Ind., March 21, 1844 and passed away at his home near Danville, Nov. 8, 1928 at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 18 days. He moved from Indiana to Illinois with his parents in the year 1856. In the fall of 1876 the family came to Kansas, the first living near Wichita. In 1879 they moved to Harper county and he took a claim near Danville, where he lived until the time of his death, having lived on the same farm for about fifty years. On February 25, 1897 he was united in marriage to Hattie RUSSELL who preceeded him in death in 1911. To this union three children were born, all of whom survive him: Elizabeth and William at home, Margaret CRAWFORD of Carmen, Okla., and Jessie WILSON of Wichita, a stepdaughter; a sister, Mrs. Martha FRIDAY of Danville; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a large number of other relatives and a host of friends.

    3. The Harper Advocate Harper County Thursday November 15, 1928 Mary Ann Craig. Miss Mary Ann CRAIG, daughter of James and Malinda Craig was born on May 2nd, 1837 in St. Louis, Co,m St.Louis, and died at Harper, Nov. 8, 1928. Her early life was spent on a farm in Illinois and in 1890 came to Kansas and settled on a farm near Norwich, Kans., in Kingman county and remained single and cared for her aged father until his death about 35 years ago, then made her home with her sister in Kingman until a few years ago she came to Harper and remained until her death. She leaves to mourn her passing, one brother, J.W. Craig, the only member left of the immediate family, besides several neices and nephews who shall miss her greatly because she always brought sunshine into the lives of others through her pleasant disposition and many deeds of kindness. The funeral was held at the undertaking parlors on Friday afternoon at three o'clock. The service was conducte dby Pastor Woods and the body laid to rest in the Harper cemetery.

Eliza Jane WOLF, widow of Abraham Wolf, died April 12, 1904, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. SKIPTON, having been sick only one week and one day. She was 82 years and one month old. Funeral services to be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the residence of Mrs. Skipton conducted by Rev. E. O. Johnson of Morrowville.

    3. The Washington Register Washington County Thursday April 7, 1904 Married at the home of the brides' parents, March 30, by Rev. Life, William Nelson COMBS and Miss Bertha JOHNSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson. At the appointed time, eight p.m., the contracting parties marched into the parlor and the marriage vows were solemnized in the presence of about forty-six guests. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white silk. After the congratulations the guests ushered into the dining room where an elegant supper awaited them. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. Only a few of the most intimate friends were invited.
