    3. The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday June 3, 1882 Mrs. N.C. LANE died suddenly on Friday night of last week at the home of her husband near Trading Post. She had an attack of neuraliga of the stomach on Thursday morning, and died from the effects of the disease as the time above stated. She had not been in good health for some time prior to the illness that caused her demise, but she was not supposed to be in a serious condition until receiving the fatal attack. The deceased leaves a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.

Western avenue, yesterday evening will be buried in Mount Hope cemetery. Funeral from Penwell's chapel this afternoon at 4 o'clock. KIZER.--Mrs. Mattie Harrison Kizer, ared 45, died at Fort Riley Saturday night. One brother, William VAUGHN, lives in Topeka. Remains will arrive in Topeka today. Funeral later in charge of Curley Rose Tabernacle. HAYMAN.--Cliff R. Hayman, Souther Pacific locomotive engineer, formerly employed by the Santa Fe at Topeka, died at his home in San Francisco, Cal. He will be buried at Emporia this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Hayman was a brother of Clay Hayman, road foreman for the Santa Fe at Newton.

Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. HANNAH.--The funeral of Harriet Grace Hannah, aged 29, who died Friday morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James BEARY, eleven miles northeast of Topeka, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Salem church. Burial in Bowers cemetery. PAVEY.--The funeral of A.L. Pavey, who died in St. Louis, Mo., will be held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Topeka cemetery. VAUGHAN.--The funeral of Obidiah VAUGHAN who died Friday in the military home at Leavenworth, will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Shellabarger's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. TINCHER.--Mrs. Mary E. Fink Tincher, aged 75, died early yesterday morning at her home, 1319 North Logan street. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from Conwell's chapel. The body will be taken to Westmoreland for burial. LEE.--Jessie F. LEE, aged 85, died yesterday at his ome, 605 North Harrison street. The body will be taken to Easton, Kan., for burial.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 15, 1920 Mrs. Hamilton Dies. Pioneer Resident and Prominent In Church Activities. Mrs. Elmah I. HAMILTON, aged 69, one of the pioneer residents of Wabaunsee county, and a resident of Topeka for twenty-eight years, died yesterday at her home, 1180 Clay street, after an illness of six weeks. Death was due to heart disease, possibly indirectly brought on by an injury in an automobile accident last November. Mrs. Hamilton had long been prominent in all activities of the Lowman Memorial Methodist church. For twenty years she had been in charge of the old ladies' Bible class of the Sunday school. Altho several members are over 80 years of age, the class established an attendance record in January by having the largest percentage of its member present during the month of any in the adult department. Mrs. Hamilton also was a member of the Fraternal Aid union. Mrs. Hamilton came to Kansas from Pennsylvania in 1868 and settled near Eskridge. She resided in that place until she came to Topeka. She is survived by her husband, Micajah Hamilton, and three children, Mrs. Hattie STEWART, and Mrs. Hester SIMMONS, of Topeka and Frank M. Hamilton, of Tulsa, Okla. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from her home. Burial in Mount Hope cemetery.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 15, 1920 Drops From Chair, Dead. Body of Scott Bateman, Shoemaker, Found on Floor of Shop. The body of Scott BATEMAN, shoemaker, was found yesterday morning lying on the floor beside a cold stove in his shop, 316 East Fourth street. Dr. O.F. Marcotte, coroner, said that Bateman's death probably was due to apoplexy. The shoemaker apparently had fallen forward some time during the night out of his chair, which was drawn up beside the stove. His nose was broken by the fall. Mrs. Sarah Bateman, widow, lives at Glade, Kan. His brother, Perry Bateman, of St. Joseph, telegraphed Shellabarger & Son, undertakers, that he would arrive here today.

Johnson, 59, formerly of Topeka, died yesterday in Denver, Colo., according to word received by his brother, W.R. Johnson, 1009 Tyler. Mr. Johnson was associated with several local clothing merchants during his residence in Topeka and later was in the gents' furnishing goods business at 602 Kansas avenue. He moved to Denver in 1900. Mr. Johnson is survive dby his wife, formerly Miss Bertha WARREN of Topeka and a daughter. The burial will take place in Denver. LUX.--Dr. Hazel Frances LUX, aged 24, died Tuesday at Grace hospital, Kansas City. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home of her father, W.L. Lux, at Seabrook. Burial in Mount Hope cemetery. The body will lie in state at Penwell's chapel from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the home of her father from 2 to 3 p.m. PEARSON.--The body of Mrs. Bertha Mildred Pearson, who died Tuesday in Pocatello, Idaho, arrived in Topeka yesterday. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock from Bomgardner's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. VAUGHAN.--Obidiah VAUGHAN, aged 78, died Friday night in the old soldiers home in Leavenworth. The body will arrive in Topeka this mornning. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. BROWNELL.--Mrs. Ida Brownell, aged 50, died yesterday morning at her home, 205 Madison street. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. MONROE.--Mrs. Frances Monroe, 30, wife of Will Monroe, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank VOGEL, 211 Harrison street, died yesterday morning from pneumonia. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from Brennan's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. John PARSONS, Mrs. Fred PEFFER, and Miss Juanita VOGEL, all of Topeka.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday February 14, 1920 Mrs. C.H. Morrison Dies. Well-Known Woman Victim of Pneumonia Following Influenza. Mrs. C.H. MORRISON, wife of Dr. C.H. Morrison, died yesterday in a local hospital from pneumonia following influenza. A private funeral will be held this afternoon at 3 o'lock from her home, 1218 Garfield avenue. Burial in Mount Hope cemetery. Mrs. Morrison was well known in Topeka, having been engaged in the millinery business here eleven years ago. She came her in 1884. She is survived by her husband, two brothers, S.R. CAMPBELL, of Heyburn, Idaho, and Dr. A.C. CAMPBELL, of Tulsa, Okla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Idell FESSENDEN, of Berkeley, Cal., and Miss Genevieve Campbell, of Topeka.

Longaker; a son, Ernest Longaker; and a daughter, Mrs. Usher. HUGHES.--Mrs. J.B. ROSS, 1317 West strett, received word yesterday of the sudden death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. J.A. Hughes of Modesto, Cal. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband and two small children. Before her marriage she was Mis Rachel WADDELL, a nurse at St. Frances hospital.

Cohron pronouncing the ceremony in the presence of a large number of witnesses. Mr. Williams is well known as a faithful, popular employe of the La Cygne House, and has received the congratulations and good wishes of a host of friends over the successful termination of his courtship. The happy couple were the recipients of a fine collection of wedding presents.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.A. Matten.

She was the wife of the late J.L. Penny, proprietor of the Capital City Bottling works. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C.S. MURRAY of Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. J.B. SANDS, Mrs. William DEINES, and Miss Josephine Penny, all of Topeka and four grand children, Miss Mary Sands, James Deines, Joseph Deines and Jack Deines, all of Topeka. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. WRIGHT.--H.D. Wright, 41, formerly a resident of Topeka, died yesterday in Los Angeles, Cal., from influenza. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alice Wright of Los Angeles, and two brothers, E.A. Wright of Topeka and O.A. Wright of St. Louis, Mo. RODELL.--Louise E. Rodell, the 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Rodell, 716 Taylor street, died yesterday morning at the home of her parents. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home. Burial in Topeka cemetery.
