    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Friday February 20, 1920 Deaths and Funerals. DAVIS.--George Davis, 38, died yesterday at a local hospital. The body will be taken to El Dorado, Kan., for burial. PETTIT.--The funeral of Walter J. Pettit, who died February 14 in Twin Falls, Ida., will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from Conwell's North Topeka chapel. Burial in Rochester cemetery. McCLINTOCK.--Erasmuis McClintock, 79, and old resident and formerly a prominent business man of North Topeka, died yesterday at his home, 1101 Central aveune. Mr. McClintock was in the insurance business for several years, later he became a member of the grocery firm of McClintock & Stanley. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen, The Eastern Star and Golden Rule lodge No. 90, A.F.& A.M. He is survived by a son, Dr. Charles S. McClintock of Kansas City. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. OWEN.--The funeral of Mrs. Lydia M. Owen, who died Wednesday, will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Second United Brethren church at Fifth and Leland streets. The body will be taken to Rossville for burial. ROBINSON.--The funeral of Mrs. Pearl Robinson who died Sunday in Junction City, will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from Stonestreet's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. WRIGHT.--Harley D. Wright, son of Mrs. Allen Wright, died in Los Angeles, Cal., according to word from that city. Besides his mother, he is survived by a wife, one brother, Earnest Wright, an aunt, Mrs. Sarah IRVIN, and an uncle, G.W. BANTA, all of Topeka. WASHINGTON.--The body of Miss Maude Washington, formerly of Topeka, who died yesterday in Atchison, will arrive her Monday. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. BARNES.--The funeral of Miss Maude Barnes, who died Sunday in St. Petersburg, Fla., will be held this morning at 11 o'clock from the home of the late F.B. Barnes, 1274 Western avenue, and will be private. Burial will be in Valley Falls, Kan.

Gilman, who died Tuesday, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from his home, 1218 Boswell avenue. Burial in Topeka cemetery. GILBERT.--The funeral of Mrs. Lydia Gilbert, who died in Oregon, Wis., will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from her home at on route 6, North Topeka. Burial in Rochester cemetery. MITCHELL.--The body of Mrs. Mattie Mitchell who died Monday in Kansas City arrived in Topeka yesterday morning and was taken to Rochester cemetery for burial. ROBINSON.--The body of Mrs. Pearl Robinson, 37, formerly of Topeka, who died Monday in Junction City from influenza pneumonia arrived in Topeka yesterday afternoon. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. The services will be private. STARK.--Mrs. Mary Stark, 83(?), died yesterday morning at the home of her son, John Stark, 2510 West Eighteenth street. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday February 18, 1920 Deaths and Funerals. CLARK.--Mrs. E.J. Clark of Topeka, died in a hospital in Ellsworth, Kan., February 11. Burial was in Waldo, Kan., in the cemetery which Mrs. Clark's husband, the late Rev. G.H. Clark assisted in laying out. Mrs. Clark was born in Pennsylvania March 7, 1844. She was member of the First Baptist church in Topeka. She is survived by four sons, Sam Clark, Pittsburg, Pa., the Rev. G.H. Clark, Olathe; William C. Clark, of McLouth; Clyde L. Clark, of Salina; and two daughters, , Mrs. Rosetta HENRY, of Kansas City, and Mrs. Clara J. BARBER, of Topeka. GILMAN.--Dr. S.E. Gilman, 38 years old, died yesterday morning at his home, 1214 Boswell avenue. Funeral announcements later. HANN.--Mrs. Nancy Hann, 80 years old, died yesterday morning at the home of her son, Albert Hann, Tecumeseh. Funeral announcements later. ORMSBEE.--Lafayette Ormsbee, 69(?) years old, died yesterday at his home, 914 Golden avenue. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from Bomgardner's chapel. The body will be shipped to Smith Center, Kan., for burial. SANDERSON.--Burton Charles Sanderson, 39 years old, died yesterday at his home, ?? Emmett street. Funeral at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. GRIBBLE.--Clyde H. Gribble, 38 years old, died Mondy at his home, 415 Larch street. Funeral announcements will be made later. NATHANSON.--The funeral of Solomon Nathanson, will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon from the home of Eli Ulamperi, 617 Taylor street. Burial in Topeka cemetery. BROWNELL.--The funeral of Ida Brownell, 205 Madison street, will be held this afternoon at 2:20 o'clock from Shellbarger's chapel. Burial in Topeka cemetery. WISE.--The funeral of James Wise, Jr., son of Bishop and Mrs. James Wise, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from Grace cathedral. Burial in Toeka cemetery. GRISWALD.--The funeral of Angeline Griswald, 1745 Lincoln street, will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Bower's cemetery. KIZER.--The funeral of Mrs. Mattie Kizer, will be held tomorrow afternoon aqt 2:30 o'clolck at the Stonestreet's chapel. Burial services will be in charge of the Pearly Rose Tabernacle No. 77.     3. The Oskaloosa Times Jefferson County Friday July 14, 1899 Obituary--Waychoff. Mrs. Harriet M. WAYCHOFF after a protracted illness passed quietly from earth July 3rd. She born her afffliction with fortitude, being resigned to the will of her creator. Harriet M. GALLESTON was born in Jefferson County, Penn., July 24th, 1873 and was 25 years, 11 months and 9 day of age at the time of her death. She was married to George Waychoff, January 28, 1891. They came to Kansas the following spring and located near Valley Falls, soon after moving to Newman, where she resided until death. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Esteps pastor of the M.E. church, of Perry. The burial took place in Rose Hill cemetery near Valley Falls. She leaves three children--Maud, Francis and Claud, aged 8, 6, and 1 year old respectively. (Note: This death was reported under Perry Notes on July 7, 1899 as Mrs. WYCOFF.)

The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday June 24, 1882 A sad drowning affair occurred in Centerville township, this county, on Wednesday evening of last week, by which five persons lost their lives in an attempt to ford a branch of Sugar creek when the water in the same was unusuallyh high. Those drowned were Mr. and Mrs. John SEALS and child, two children named TANKLEY and a child named TACKETT. They were among a party returning home from a funeral in a wagon, containing altogether ten persons, it is said. We are indebted to Mr. R.B. Bryan, editor of the Mound City Clarion for these brief particulars.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday February 18, 1920 Miss Maude Barnes Dies. Death Occurs While She Is Spending Winter in Florida. Miss Maude A. BARNES, 1273 Clay street, died Sunday night in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she had gone with her sister, Miss Gertrude Barnes, to spend the winter. The body is being brought to Topeka and probably will arrive Thursday night. Funeral announcements will be made later. Miss Barnes was a daughter of the late J.P. Barnes, and was well known in Topeka. She was actively connected with the Daughters of The American Revolution, Woman's club, and other Topeka organizations. In addition to her sister, Miss Gertrude Barnes, Miss Barnes is survived by one brother, Eugene Barnes, of Meriden, Kan. Another brother, Fred Barnes died last fall. Miss Mabel Barnes, a twin sister, and another sister, Dr. Ida Barnes, died in Topeka a few years ago.
