The Kismet Klipper Thomas County Thursday December 19, 1929 Telva Lea WESSLER, six weeks old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wessler opf Kismet died from pneumonia in Epworth Hospital in Liberal Monday night, December 16. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.S. James, pastor of the Liberal Baptist church at the United Brethren church in Kismet Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in the Kismet cemetery. The community expresses sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Wessler in their hour of sorrow.

    3. The Kismet Klipper Seward County Thursday December 12, 1929 Flora Melvina Shore. Flora Melvina ELLIS was born in Parkersburg, Iowa, March 6, 1877. She departed from this life at Liberal, Kansas, November 29, 1929. When a child she moved with her parents to Meade county where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Chas. W. SHORE of Arkalon, Kansas, July 26, 1899. To this happy union two children were born, the oldest having died in infancy and Fred Shore who is now engaged in business at Big Bow, Kansas. For several years Mrs. Shore has made her home in Plains, Kansas, during which time she has been active in the work of the Eastern Star. She leaves to mourn her departure, Chas. W. Shore, her husband, and son, Fred Shore, and wife and granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. Lattie DOWNEY, Wheaton, Minnesota, Nellie A. HAMILL of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, S. Damia AKER of Liberal, Kansas; four brothers, Jay H. ELLIS, Meade, Kansas, N.M. Ellis, Dodge City, Kansas, Wm. C. Ellis, Hutchison, Kansas, Eber E. Ellis, Meade, Kansas, and other relatives and many friends.

McDANIEL died, of the La Grippe, April 3rd, in Oregon, the remains were brought back here for burial and were buried in the Freeland cemetery, at Muldrow. The funeral was largely attended, Rev. Pittman officiating, he delivered a grand sermon which was much appreciated.

    3. The Brewster Gazette Thomas County Thursday March 20, 1890 Died. Mrs. Mary MOORE, who's home was north of Colby, died last Monday night from the result of la grip. Mrs. Moore was a sister of the three Finley brothers who live west of this place. A telegram on Tuesday announced her sudden death, and they all went immediately and attended the funeral which took place on Wednesday. The remains were interred in the Colby cemetery. Mrs. Moore was 35 years old, and was a devout member of the Methodist church. She leaves a husband and three children, the youngest of which is 9 years old, besides many relatives and friends who mourn her loss.

    3. The Holton Weekly Signal Jackson County Wednesday December 3, 1890 Last week we recorded the death of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. MANUEL's two youngest children of membranous croup, and the serious illness of their remaining child, little Iva Myrtle, aged 4 years, 10 months and 12 days, of the same disease. Little Iva only lived two days longer, dying Nov. 25, 1890. Evalina died on Nov. 22, aged 2 years 10 months and 11 days, and Roscoe C., aged 1 year, 4 months and 20 days, died Nov. 23, thus robbing the household of its little ones in four days.
