The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday April 27, 1922 Sumpter--McCracken. The marriage of Miss Mary SUMPTER of Delia and Mr. George McCRACKEN of Valley Falls took place in Holton yesterday afternoon at 6 o'clock at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Stephenson, 513 New York, the ceremony performed by Rev. J.M. Manion. The wedding march was played by Miss Winona Woodburn. The house was decorated with palms and ferns. Following the ceremony a wedding supper was served. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Sumpter and is a graduate of the Pittsburg Normal school. Since her graduation she has been teaching school. Mr. McCracken is a mail carrier on a rural route out of Valley Falls. The young couple will make their home on a farm near Valley Falls. Out of town guests at the wedding included the bride's aunt, Mrs. A.K. Darby of Baltimore, and Mr. and Mrs. Minnie DINNING of St. Joe.

The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday April 20, 1922 Bacon--Stahl. Miss Corinne BACON and Mr. Albert STAHL were married Sunday evening by Probate Judge Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Stahl will make their home at 414 1/2 Pennsylvania for the present. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Bacon and has for some time been assistant in Dr. Ray Woodworth's Dental Office. She will continue her work in the office. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Agnes Stahl. He is a clerk at the Sterling Clothing company. Mr. and Mrs. Stahl have many friends who will wish them happiness.
The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday April 13, 1922 Glenn--McComas. The marriage of Miss Dorothy GLENN to Mr. Mark McCOMAS of Topeka is announced by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.F. Glenn. the wedding took place Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the residence of Probate Judge Clark. The attendants were Miss Dorothy Stephens and Mr. Frank Utterback. Mr. and Mrs. McComas left on the evening train for Topeka where they will make their home. the bride was born and reared in Holton. She is a graduate of the 1921 High school class and the past year taught the Bell School near Mayetta, closing the term Saturday. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. M.M. McComas of Topeka, and has made his home in that city the past year. He is an ex-service man and went overseas with Company B. Their many friends extend hearty congratulations.
The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday April 13, 1922 Klusmire-Schreiber. Gladys I. KLUSMIRE and Wayne A. SCHREIBER were married at 11 o'clock at the Presbyterian manse by Rev. A. E. Wardner. Mr. and Mrs. Schreiber have rooms at the Grant Funk home. They were divorced about a year ago. She has been in St. Joseph and Iowa visiting relatives. A reconciliation has been affected. The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday April 13, 1922 On April 5, 1922, Mr. Edwin MAIERS and Miss Ethel WILLIAMSON were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Williamson of Denison. She was a graduate of the Dension High School in the 1921 class and taught the follwing year at the Excelsior school. The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Maiers of this place and is a prosperous young farmer. They will make their home on the Leonard Buehler farm. The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday March 30, 1922 Mrs. W.J. DONNELLY, of Hoyt, died Monday at a local hospital. She had been a resident of Kansas since 1867, having come to Kansas with her parents while a child. Her early years were spent with the Sisters of Loretta at St. Marys Mission, now St. Marys, Kansas. She is survived by two sons, of her first marriage, Jas. QUIRK and John QUIRK, of Hoyt. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday at the Mayetta Catholic church. Burial in the Hoyt Cemetery.--Topeka Capital.

The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday March 23, 1922 Mrs. Will DIXON died Friday evening at her home in Almena. The body was shipped to Holton Tuesday and taken to Circleville where services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Christian church conducted by Rev. Grant Hamm. Burial was in the Circleville cemetery. Mrs. Dixon was before her marriage, Miss Jessie ROBISON of Circleville.

The Holton Signal Jackson County Thursday March 16, 1922 Word was received here Saturday of the death of Mrs. Roy GUNSELMAN at the her home near Holton. She leaves a baby about three day old. The Gunselmans formerly lived here, south of town. Mr. Gunselman is a nephew of Mr. James HURST of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Hurst went to Holton Sunday.
