    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Wednesday February 15, 1911 Arrested On Serious Charge. Unlawful Co-Habitation Is Lodged Against Couple. Both Have Been Divorced and Intended to be Married When the Alloted Time Was Up. J. M. HAMMONS and Lillie May MORGAN were names called in police court this morning. They were charged with unlawful co-habitation. According to the story told by the couple, each had been divorced abotu two weeks ago, and when the six months prescribed by the court was up, were to be married. So far as the police can learn, the woman has a hard row to hoe. Her parents separated some time ago. She was forced to find a home for herself. Then her father married again and she was again forced out of the house and home. Then she married. Her husband would not support her. He would rather loaf around a pool hall, than earn money for her support, she says. This union ended in the divorce court just a short time ago. Hammons and Mrs. Morgan attended a dance last night and were on their way home to Aganippe Park, when they were apprehended by the police. They paid their fines of $12.50 each and were released.
