It says he was born in Nov 1847. Came to this country in 1867. If you didn't know that birth month that would help you and others in there search for him. Always give as much info that you have on an individual. By the way my ggrandfather Kruger came to usa about the same time. Mine was either from Prague area or Luxembourg, but we haven't found out for sure. I assume you haven't found out where yours are from either???
