I think they came to America from Germany in the later 1800's. Henry was August's father. They settled in Wadena, MN, where my dad Richard Bernhart and my uncle Ernest Gus were born. The only spousal information I have is that August was married to a Helena Brendel, also from Germany. Richard and August later moved to Westby, Montana, before coming to Washington state. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
