Behind a photo of my grandmother we found a fancy marriage certificate for Louis SCHIFFNER and Maria KRUGER of Hidi (near Gowanda), NY. The marriage was 10 July 1883 but the certificate was completed 15 September 1907, possibly because they lost the original or maybe didn't apply for a certificate at the time of the wedding. The certificate is in German but the names and dates are clear. Witnesses are Franz (?) Emil SCHIFFNER and Anna SCHIFFNER. I will gladly send the original if this is part of your family.
