She was born February 15, 1770 in Jassow, a daughter of the farmer Joachim Bartelt & Marie Radloff. She married October 20, 1797 with Johann Gottfried Kruger, the second son of the late Hans Kruger of Scharchow. Her brother died from a fall that he suffered and therefore she and her husband got the farm. They bought a piece of farm that lay east of the farm in 1915, which farm is now in the hands of Paul Bartelt. Katharina Bartelt died on November 29, 1832 from hemmorhage. She left to mourn her; her husband, 3 grown sons all born in Jassow: Johann Gottfried Kruger-born September 7, 1798, Anna Sophia-born December 5, 1799, Johann Kruger-born September 8, 1801, Michael Gottlieb-born July 23, 1803.
