He came to the U.S. in 1886 with his first wife, Anna Tillha. They had a son William Frederick born 1889 in Wisconsin (we think). W.H. was a biermeister and (as family lore has it) was brought over the U.S. by Theodore Hamm of the Hamm Brewery. He owned saloons all over St. Paul, MN until prohibition. Anna died in 1906 and he eventually married my grandmother, Louisa Oswald (Oschwald) and they had seven children, Theodore, Albert, William, Edward (my father), Adolph, Charlotte and Frederick. I know little about William or where he came from, I am hoping that someone has a connection as we were told he had a brother who went West. Thank you for your help.
