Kruger of Lake Park, Dickinson Co., Iowa, through his son Henry and Bess Blair Kruger late of Sioux City. I have been collecting online information about the Christian and Nona Kruger family, recently, and I believe that my John J. Kruger (possibly Johann Jacob Kruger) b: Nov 1852 in Germany (s:1900 Census) who was married to an Anna M. resided in Osceola County and then finally in Dickinson County, Iowa. His children were Wilda Emma, Nona C., Kris (m), Klaus, Henry, and Albert and William. I'm pretty sure that this John J. Kruger is the son of Christian and Nona Kruger, for the naming of his children match several of his siblings and their children. (i.e. Kris / Christ, Klaus, Henry Fredrick, Albert, Nona.) and that other children of Christian and Nona Kruger moved to NW Iowa (i.e. Osceola, Obrien, Lyon, and Dickinson counties.) I've yet to pursue any death records for my John J. Kruger, I'd hope that it would list his parents' names. I've been looking for this Kruger family, less Christian who died in 1857, in the 1860 Census in Illinois and Iowa, but with no luck. 1870, too. Does anyone have these listings, yet? I'm willing to share what I've collected, so far, with anyone with a connection to these Krugers.

Hi ?? I have a August Kruger who came to Australia around the 1850-60's and have his parents as Frederick Kruger and Caroline Hohenseng but unfortunately I have no other information. At the time August came to Australia I think he came out with his wife Wilhemine nee Engel. He would have been born around 1834 in Stettin, Pommern Prussia. Does any of this ring a bell. Rine Jr., tells me his father, who was Rine/Rhine b: 1 Aug 1869 at Winschoten (Groningen) Holland had cousins living in Winschoten also. Rine, Ralph, Hendricka all have many different variations in spelling so it will be hard to trace. Hendricka married Rine/Rhine in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. There were 2 generations of KRUGER's in Woldendorp near Groningen. There was a Hendrik who married a Kruger in 1847 Detondorf, Germany who then went to the Netherland's. He is looking for more information for me and we will be in contact again shortly. Any and all help is deeply appreciated! Thanks!

Later, during the winter, he walked from Chicago to Kalamazoo, and married Martha Hoekstra. They had Ralph and Anna in Kalamazoo and then moved to Galion, Ohio having ten more children. Since Paul Gustave Kruger and my Rine/Rhine/Ruie Kruger both came to U.S. in 1893, do you think they are related? Thanks, Susan Kruger Besta

This is what it says A year in the life of Oma Mildred Kruger. A single woman living in Chicago, IL in 1921, she writes about her daily activities. Read about her romance with "Bill", her engagement, her illness and how long it took her to recover and the quirky ways a single woman experienced things. Writing is in excellent condition, very legible. Cover is red and not such great condition. Pages are gold lined...the book is from her sister, Jeanie and she writes, " May each page tell tales of joy and happiness though the year." It has 3 days left to bid on it, and I thought it would be a real find for someone of that family. Its item number Item # 2174235178 . Anyway, its there if it is of interest to you!
