Is on 1880 census for Penn Twp, McLeod, MN with wife Wilhelmina b. abt 1854, daughter Augusta b. abt 1875, Herman F b. abt 1877, dau. Olga b. abt 1878, and Alfred G b. Jan 1880. The surname is spelled both ways in census records. Later census records show additional children: Emma b. 1881, Otto b. 7/1883, William b. Jan 1885, Meta b. 9/1886. By 1910 Emmanuel, Wilhelmina, Herman, Olga, Emma and Meta are living in Brownton, McLeod, MN. Olga was living as a boarder in Sumter Twp, Brownton on the 1920 census. My grandmothers sister married a Roy Glen Kruger in Burlington Kansas. His father as far as I know came from Illinois and was Herman Kruger and his mother was Laura Edith Fowler. I want to determine which of the Meeker or McLeod County KRUGERs were related to my own gr-gr-grandmother Bertha KRUGER (1844-1924) who married Joachim SCHULTZ of Forest City in 1869. I suspect it was not the branch of your gr-grandfather Henry Lewis KRUGER. I've researched that branch extensively and there appears to be no connection. But since you are a descendant of Henry L. KRUGER, then you and I are still cousins, through Henry's wife Ida SCHULTZ who was a daughter of my Joachim SCHULTZ's brother Carl. If you do have any clues as to the origins of my Bertha KRUGER I would love to hear about it. And of course I would be happy to share with you what I have on your KRUGERs or on our common SCHULTZs.
