Kraemer in Parker at the First English Lutheran Church on Thursday, November 6th, with Rev. Dymann Jirovec officiating. Dorothy Guenther was the organist; Mrs. James White, the soloist, sang "The Old Rugged Cross". The congregation joined in singing "Our God Our Help in Ages Past". The pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased, were Earle Geide, Daryl Kraemer, Wallace Ahrendt, Dale Seubert, Luverne Kraemer and Arnold Ideker. Mr. Frederick Smith and Claude Bovee were the ushers. Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery with the Hofmeister Funeral Home in charge. Gust E. Kraemer, son of Otto and Augusta Kraemer, was born on December 3, 1892, on the Kraemer homestead north of Parker. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On December 23, 1915 he was united in marriage to Louise Brinker at the Wellington Immanuel Lutheran church. They are the parents of three sons. Mr. Kraemer spent his entire life in the Parker area. He farmed until 1940. He then purchased the Union Center gas station and was in business there until 1970 when he retired. In his former years he was active in community work. He served on the rural school board for many years and also as an officer of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a conscientious worker and an ardent lover of nature. He is survived by his wife, Louise; his three sons and their wives, Maynard and Ruth of Bloomington, Minn., Rex and Johanna of near Parker, Max and Lois of near Humboldt. Also five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ella Giede of Hartford, S.D.; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and especially by his wife, Louise. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in December and plans had been made for the event. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the many friends and relatives for their prayers, visits, food, flowers, cards and memorials. Words are inadequate to express our appreciation for the kindnesses shown. A special thanks to Rev. Dymann Jirovec for his calls and for his comforting words and to the Pattern Pals Club for serving lunch after the Prayer service and to the First English L.W.M.L. for serving lunch following the services. May God bless you all.
