    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: jenni_lew Surnames: KRAEMER, ZIMMEL, CRANN Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.kraemer/155.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My apologies - you replied to a previous query about Otto and Augusta Kraemer and I never contacted you. I have learned much since my original post in 2002, but still have many questions. I found several Kraemer obituaries on a free small-town newspapers website at http://www.worldvitalrecords.com/indexinfo.aspx?ix=stp_ner . The link should take you to the Parker newspaper archives. What a goldmine of information. I have found records of immigration for all the (related) Zimmels except Augusta's father, William. Everyone else left Brallentin aboard the ship Copernicus and sailed from Hamburg, Germany on 1 Sep 1855, arriving in New York on 15 Oct 1855, with Wisconsin listed as their final destination. Makes me wonder if another relative was already living in Wisconsin, possibly William? I haven't found any information on Otto's family yet. Any idea who his parents were? Three different census records list 1872 as his year of immigration but I haven't found any immigration records for him nor have I found him in the 1880 census taken 5 months before his marriage to Augusta. I am missing the death dates for all of Otto and Augusta's daughters. One of the daughters must have remarried after the death of her first husband because the name Mrs. Louis Crann appeared in Adolph's obituary as a surviving sister. If you would like to contact me directly please do so by emailing jenni_lew at hotmail.com (replace the word at with the symbol @). I have some computer-generated reports that I can send you via email if you are interested. 1. [KRAEMER] REILING - KRAEMER Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Emma REILING which was taken at the J. O. Allen Studio in Toledo, Ohio. The photograph was taken in the 1880's with Emma likely in her teens at the time it was taken. In addition to her name, someone has also written "fifty years ago name was" and "Property of Mrs. Wm AUMEND 4335 East Way Toledo O" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I believe that this is a photograph of Emma REILING b. 1869 in Indiana to parents August REILING (b. 1826 in Baden, Germany) and Dorothea KRAEMER (b. 1836 in Bremen, Germany). Emma married William M. AUMEND on 23 Mar 1890 in Fort Wayne, IN. I am hoping to locate someone from her family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or if you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
