Lewis William Kornegay was born November 27, 1885 and was known to us as "Uncle Lewis". He lived for many years in Irving, Texas. I don't have any information on his death. George Dewey Kornegay, youngest son of Robert Arnold Kornegay, was born June 3, 1898. He was known in my family as "Dewey". I have some other information that I will be happy to share with you or the entire group on this family and on Lewis Williams Kornegay's, Robert Arnold's father, movement from North Carolina to Alabama to Mississippi. Joe, I would love to share in the information on Lewis William. Or, if you could just give me some hints as to where I could go for documentation. My family stems from Robert Arnold's first marriage to Sarah. I have the information available from other researchers and I am very grateful for their hard work. I would however like to have something to prove where my roots are. I know that Robert Arnold is my gg-grandfather, but I have no hard proof. The only thing I have are census and a marriage license for Robert's daughter Sarah to my g-grandfather John W. Pate.
