KORNEGAY b 31 December 1843 in Dover PO, Jones County, NC married Eveline Branton about 1871, died 09 March 1909 in Dothan, Houston County, AL buried Methodist Piney Grove) mother: Eveline BRANTON b 19 October 19, 1851 in Dale County, AL d 11 September 1918 in Dothan, Houston County, AL buried in Methodist Piney Grove The county or the state of AL could not find a death certificate for either person. Family folklore says that JW is for John Ward, and his father is George KORNEGAY and that his mother is Clarissa ROUSE. Brothers are James Polk KORNEGAY and Joseph KORNEGAY, sister is Sarah KORNEGAY. Would you mind seeing if any of these names are in the KORNEGAY book that you have? I have a KORNEGAY book compiled by Charles D. KORNEGAY, ggggg-son of Jacob KORNEGAY 1739-1796.
