This is Benny Huff. I seem to remember some interest a few weeks ago in compiling a list of the Palatines that settled in New Bern. I was organizing some of my material today and came across two pages that I had copied from a book on Kinston and Lenoir Counties. It listed 56 Palatine families that settled in New Bern in 1709-1710. This is a composite list. However, 36 of the names came from a German list described as "Names of the first Palatines in North Carolina, as early as 1709 and 1710. These were living in the year 1714". If anyone is compiling a list let me know and I will enter these names and e-mail them.
