Sandra, I've been sitting back lurking because I didn't know I even had a Kornegay line until about 2 months ago and thanks to all the conversation that's been on this mailing list lately, I have more than I can even comprehend right now. Bur your subject line, ARKANSAS BRANCH caught my eye and I'm curious where in Arkansas the Kornegay's were located. My line is Elizabeth Kornegay who married Daniel Glisson and their daughter Betsy Glisson who married John Norman. The Norman's ended up in Lawrence, Izard and Sharp counties in Arkansas. And what I find a little odd, is that one of the Norman children married a Gay whose father was Alfred P. Gay who is a brick wall for me. One Arkansas Census says he was born in NC, now it makes me wonder if he could have shortened his name from Kornegay to just Gay? You know in those days it was not uncommon for cousins to marry. Oh well, just another mystery to solve - right? Would appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks, Glenda in Memphis
