Sue - I am going through my messages this morning when I saw yours. I missed the first one about the "us" and "sa", but my opinion would be that there was a little gender-bending going on with the family history writers. A name ending with the letters "us" generally indicates a man and "sa" indicates a woman. Wouldn't be the first time a man was written down as a woman or vice versa.
