George Kornegay (1735-1808) was married twice. First, and mother of his children, Margaret (Downing) Lullum, born in England. He second married in 1802, Mouring (Stevens or Stephenson) Wiggins, widow of Willis Wiggins, of Wayne County, N. c. and mother in law to Jacob Kornegay as well as his stepmother. Jacob and his wife Elizabeth (Wiggins) had at least one child Bryan Kornegay. They had property in Wayne County, NC on the Southside of Falling creek
