Lori. I live in Duplin County, N.C. -my post office is a cross roads - by name of Albertson, N.C. I live 10 miles north of Kenansville (the county seat) and about 30 miles south of Kinston, and about 30 miles se of Goldsboro. I just sitting here between Camp Lejuene Marine Base, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, and Fort Bragg Military facility. As I have told other, I live on some of the land that was Kornegay Land Grant. My son owns land the has been handed down from family to family (Kornegay related) since the original land grant. The old Kornegay cemetery is about 1/2 mile from my house. I just visited it and it needs a lot of work done to it. However, some of it is being maintained - the outskirts need cleaning also. A lot of the old old grave sites have vanished due to using wood markers and fire getting out and burning the markers. I did find Hargett Kornegay's stone and Susannah's and Penelope's. The cemetery is still being used. I think my brother in law - Lewis Andrew Westbrook, Sr was the last person buried there - 1996. It is beautiful land here.
