Sue, That is so interesting. Are any of the relatives Kornegays? There is a Kornegay Street in Lufkin. My neice and I went to a therapy clinic in Lufkin, went to sign in and there on the list someone had signed in as Kornegay. We questioned her and she said her husband is a Kornegay and they have been there forever. Some people have absolutely no interest in genealogy. San Augustine Co. is on the other side of the lake from us. We live in Angelina Co. next to the Black Forest Community. We are close to Jasper Co. I know where Harvey Creek is. We checked that out 2 years ago when the lake was at an all time low, looking for a place where we could launch our boat. Do you know of any cemeteries that had to be moved before the lake filled up? There is a little church at the corner of FM2743 and FM3373 (Concord Baptist)and I have been told that 3 cemeteries had been moved to that location.
