John was the son of Barney K and Sara Lee who came to Bibb County AL from NC around 1819 with Barney's father, John and wife Civil. John was the son of Jacob, Revolutionary War veteran and Civil was a cousin. I am descended through John's and his second wife's, Mariah Kornegay (cousin) son Sydney. John II was a Confederate veteran. Mariah lived with my grandparents and my grandmother told great stories about her and John.
