    1. [KORNEGAY-L] marriage of Lewis William and Sarah Keaton
    2. Lewis William and Sarah Keaton were married 4/13/1830 on the 1850 Choctaw County Alabama Census. See below.> > > CORNEGA?, L.W., 48, M, Planter, NC, # 199 > Sarah, 42, F, NC > Wm. A., 19, M, Labor, NC > Elisabeth, 18, F, AL > Mary A., 15, F, AL > Robt B., 14, M, AL > Hester, 12, F, AL > Daniel G., 8, M, AL > Harriet M., 6, F, AL > Martha M., 4, F, AL > ( The surname was spelled Kornegay and the parents were Lewis William and > Sarah Keaton. L.W. was in Lauderdale Co., MS in 1860 with his second wife. So, Lewis William married Anna Harte after 1850 and before 1860. I don't know if Sarah died before or after the move to Lauderdale County, MS. Lewis William and Anna Harte are buried at Cokers Chapel United Methodist Church, Vimville, MS. I have not been able to locate the graves, but they are on the cemetery list. Sarah's brother E. Keaton who lived next door to the Kornegay's in Choctaw county, is not listed there on the 1860 census. So, as soon as I get the chance to go to the library, I will check the 1860 census here and see if he moved to Meridian also. If so, Sarah may have died in Meridian instead of in Alabama. Sheila
