I have a document titled "KORNEGAY, Preliminary Sketch by A.T. Outlaw a descendant". According to this source, George Kornegay had a son named Elijah, with second wife Susanna Stechey. Your home page has no further link on Elijah. My document says that Elijah had a son, Robert Kornegay, born between 1785 and 1794 in Duplin NC, and died around 1820. His wife was named Lititia. One of the Robert's son was David Smith Kornegay, born 1808. This man has a fascinating history. He participated in the Texas War and in campaigns against Waco, tehuacana and comanche indians. He survived the Dawson Massacre in 1842, and was carried into captivity by Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana. He was taken to the Perote Prission, who is between Mexico City and Veracruz. With 16 other men, escaped from Perote, went to the port of Veracruz, and from then to Nueva Orleans. He died in 1856. He has a memorial. There is a "David Smith Kornegay Biography", by Walter P. Freytag. One of David's brother, John Kornegay, also participated in Texas War. He was executed by mexican forces. David Kornegay had a son, Edward Dawson Kornegay, born in 1845 in La Grange Fayette TX, and died in 1914 in New Mexico. He served in the Confederation Army. My document finishes here. Edward Kornegay had a son, Robert Kornegay, who is my grandfather. My father is Edward Dawson Kornegay, born 1914 in New Mexico, who was a pilot in the Royal Air Force during World War II, being condecorated by King George. He now lives in San Benito, TX. Tell me if you have the document. I can also send you some photos. I am going to prepare a home page with my family, so you can visit it. I have seen yours some minutes ago!.
