El nacio en Nuevo Mexico, y es hijo de Robert Kornegay. Nosotros descendemos en linea directa de David Kornegay, que peleo en la guerra de Texas, y que migro de Carolina del Norte a unirse a las fuerzas de Sam Houston. Tengo la historia a la que haces referencia. Los datos me los paso mi padre, Edward Kornegay. El peleo en la Segunda Guerra mundial, en la Fuerza Aerea de Inglaterra, y fue condecorado. My father Edward Kornegay passed the facts on to me. He fought in World War II with the British Air Force (I wonder if he means as an American advisor to the Brits? - Jerry) and was decorated. He was born in 1914. He spoke Spanish very well and his family had ties to Mexico. His family moved from New Mexico to Arizona. I do have some information and some pictures of his family that might be of interest for the (picture) album in case you don't have them.
