Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Yes, Aunt Lib was doing research for years on the eligibility of her daughters for the DAR. She died about 5 years ago and about 2 summers ago I was able to go through her papers being safeguarded by my cousin Libba Ann Kornegay Pate, presently living in Fayetteville, NC. Aunt Lib had collected some fascinating stories about the eastern NC branches of the Kornegay tree. I am not familiar with the history of John Kornegay and I hope to reexamine her files when I'm back in NC next year. Thank you so much for the information on my side of the family.
