    3. Denise, I agree with you on this issue. Most of us have other things to do, and our own families should come first in our lives. I am one of the "Almost Silent Members" as it seems that whatever I send to the list, some take objection to it. 2. Hi everyone! As a sometime silent, sometime active, cousin I would offer this: lets give everyone the benefit of the doubt and assume that everyone has valid reasons for their level of interaction in this mail group. Each of us have lives outside of geneology and must tend to those first - I enjoy reading the e-mails and responding when I have time or something to contribute. Let's just all assume the best from one another and move on - life is too short to spend time getting upset about a group like ours. Let's enjoy what we have and each get from it what we can or need - with no judgements assumed or implied. Be well, my cousins! 3. Pat, I had a similar experience with MyFamily.com (lots of junk email, ads etc). This will be a good place to store pictures, but the rootsweb list should stay our main communication avenue (text only). It is searchable and allows for future Kornegay researchers to find us and/or contribute. A "silent" member, Kathy P.S. Please reply directly to the sender when your message is not general information (such as "sign me up,too!" or "Thanks, Kathy") This will help with overflowing in boxes. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! 2. I would like to clarify why I am I "silent member" Kathlynn. I have only been working on my line for a year. I joined the list almost a year ago and have gotten much information from all of you. I appreciate all of the information everyone has shared and the help some "cousins" have given me directly but until I have actual proof I would not be comfortable sharing my information on the list for fear it may be wrong. I have seen on this list how some people react when someone makes a mistake, which I thought was controlled by the list manager. I am also very young with four generations of my immediate family still alive. With respect of their privacy, I will not give out their information. I'm sorry if anyone does not understand but family honor and respect are important to me and anyone proud of their heritage, the way I was raised, should understand. If I am not welcome on the list because of this then please unsubscribe me. I also apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone or time taken away from your research. Thank you! 3. Dear Kuz,n Kathlynn, That was quite a "Put Down". I'm sorry that you don't approve of "Silent Kornegays." I try not to clutter up the lists unless I have something constructive to say. I'll remain a "Silent Kornegay" until I do, then I'll say what is on my mind, or share if I have any thing to contribute. 2. Pat & Sandy thanks for addressing/clarifying this issue. And Pat a specially, BIG thanks you, thank you, thank you for all the help you have so generously given to everyone. Anyone should be able to understand we would never have gotten this far with our family history if you had chosen to be one of those "SILENT KORNEGAY'" list members. I, for one, do realize all of the hard work & time involved in doing what you have done for us and how it robbed you of time and energy to work on your own lineage. Your burden has been great...just remember my dear cousin "if you give you receive" and although it may not be in this particular situation, I hope the universe will bless you in many other ways. How long could a list family survive if everyone chose to be a silent Kornegay? Kuz'n Kathlynn

    2. I don't usually have much to say, but i agree with Ruth. Why can;t we have more than one site. I too love Jerry's site but he hasn;t done anything on it for a year or more. This isn;t the same thing anyway. It's old postings that is being saved and can be foun easier. I like Myfamily.com I have done a lot on my pages. Just my opinion. Love Barbara
