    2. Sandy, I have checked my data against what I believe is yours (it's confusing keeping up with who's data I am reading) regarding the descendants of Miller Kornegay. I have a few names and dates to add: The children of John Ward Kornegay and Narcissa Smalley...there were 12 instead of 10. The additional ones are: Malinda Jane b. 2 Dec 1865 Monroe Co. AR, d. 30 Jan 1875 James H. b. 2 Sep 1867 Monroe Co. AR, nothing else known about him also the child of John and Narcissa: George Lee was, according to my records, born 11 Dec 1869, rather than 1889 (my date is more likely since the 1889 date would have made a hiatus of 12 years since the previous child and the mother, Narcissa, would have been 52 years old). On Daniel, I have death date as 15 Feb 1945, instead of 1948 (but who knows?) The dates on William Alfred are b 17 Dec 1863, d 15 Apr 1924 The first child of John and Narcissa, John Robert was born 1 Apr 1857 Regarding the spelling Narcissa/Narcissus : I believe, in Razorback Latin (an Arkansas dialect of Pig Latin), the "us" ending is the present tense, the "a" ending is the past tense......thus her name was Narcissus until she passed away and then, of course, they put Narcissa on her tombstone. ;=) Matt Ward

    3. I have some info on George Fisher Kornegay. You may already have it but if not here it is: George Fisher Kornegay; see deed from his father, book 4, page 144, 1806. He married Sarah (Sally) Glisson, daughter of Sarah (Herring) and Daniel Glisson. The said Daniel Glisson was in public service of Duplin Co. as Sheriff, member of the State House of Commons, and the State Senate, for a period of more that thirty years. Sarah Herring wife of Daniel Glisson, was a daughter of Stephen Herring and wife Sarah, who was probably Sarah Whitefield, and therefore a sister of Patience (Whitefield) Outlaw, mother of Elizabeth Outlaw. Other children of Sarah (Herring) and Daniel Glisson were: Captain Bryan Glisson, Abraham Glisson, Stephen Herring Glisson, and possibly others. Children of George Fisher Kornegay and Sarah (Glisson) were: William B., Henery Robert, and possibly others. The said Henry Kornegay was a Baptist minister, clerk of Superior Court of Law for Duplin Co. in 1857, 1858 and 1863, and a prominent lawyer of Kenansville until his death about 1898. Hope this helps. It came from the North Carolina State Lib in Raleigh. It is called "The Outlaw Genealogy" by Albert Timothy Outlaw. It has some on the outlaws also. If you need a copy send me your snail and I will send it to you. This just happens to be in some papers with my line. 2. Hi All, Am answering all the notes that were directed to me in this one. I am appreciative of any help I can get from you folks. I have realized that some of my records are wrong, so the more I get, the better it is helping me. I just ordered the latest Herring Highlights III from Jim Grimwood in TX, this morning. Even though the deadline had passed he will still take some orders for the book. It went to press just yesterday. He told me that there is going to be a lot more Conerly info that wasn't in the Lampton book and got missed then. Hopefully, it will show some info on the Kornegay lines too. Gotta go, doctor is calling. Til later. Sue in CA
