Hello everyone, I'm a new list member, my name is Gunner Danneels and I have a line of Kohlers (without the umlaut usually) in my family tree. My research goes back to Fidelis and Agathe Kohler who moved from Wuerttrmberg to the Russian Crimean colony of Katherenental in 1816. Fidelis was born in 1775 in Trochtelfingen (spelling may be much different, I'm going from memory.) They had a son Xaverius, who had a son Michael, who emmigrated to Richardton North Dakota in 1890. If anyone is interested, I have lots of information to share about the Fidelis->Xaverius->Michael line. My information is sketchy about the descendents of the other children of Fidelis and Xaverius after about 1850 and whatever became of the family line in Russia. I would appreciate any help that anyone may have on those lines. I'm particularly interested in information or suggestions about how I would go about locating ancestors of Fidelis and Agathe. Gunner
