I am new to the Koehler Mailing List and I assume I should begin by briefly describing my Koehler line. It begins with Johann Nichel Koehler born in Niederhosenbach, Pfalz, Germany. He had four sons: One was Philip Hen- rich Koehler born about 1809. He married Marie Evae Adrian of Roxheim (the one near Ludwigshafen). Phillip died young and his widow came to Pome- roy, Meigs County, Ohio in 1853 with her only son, Georg, age 19 and three younger daughters. Some of the family was in Pomeroy for awhile, another branch was in Miamisburg, Ohio (near Dayton). Today there are descendants in the above plus, Cincinnati and Hamilton, Ohio. Jean Edward Schaefer
