The Luxembourg Gazette was a newspaper publication from the late 1800s to about 1918. Its purpose was to inform people in the old country of happening involving Luxembourgers who immigrated to the States. All the people named in its articles have been listed alpha- betically, and there are listings organized by U. S. locality involved in the articles. These listings are provided in a two-volume set which can usually be obtained through interlibrary loan (depending on your local library's area network). Obtaining photocopies of the actual articles and reading the Old German script is trickier but can be done. In any case, I have a photocopy of the list of all the KOEHL, KOEHLER, and KOEL listings (as well as KOENIG, KOEDINGER, and KOETZ), in which I can do lookups, which will provide the newspaper issue and page number of the involved article.
