Hello to all, I am researching my Koehler and Kohler family. I have two brothers that came from Bavaria. Don't have the exact time period when they came to the US, but I have the time period when they were born. I have a Michael J. Koehler (GG Grandfather) born Jan 24, 1843 in Bavaria. He came to the US and settled in Piqua, Ohio. He married Mary Britsch or Bruetch of Piqua. to this union they had three sons. Baltasar Ambrose, Edward, and Matthew. Michael died April 6, 1906 in Lima, Ohio. Mary died June 1930. Ambrose changed the last name to Kohler. Ambrose (G Grandfather) was born Jan 24, 1876 in Piqua, OH. He married Clara Della Gastinger. They had two sons and one daughter: John Francis Mather (Grandfather), Clinton (Died after a few months), and Pauline. Pauline married Jack Mayberry in Columbus, OH. Michael's brother also came to the US about the same time. He was born 1841 in Bavaria. Do not know too much about him. Last that was heard of him was that he was living in Dayton, Ohio.
