Hi LaRita, I am a KAYLOR researcher and have came across the VA Kaylor line several times in the years I have been researching. There was an avid researcher, at one time, on this lineage. Her name was Billie Redding Lewis. She might have written a genealogy on them, at one time she was thinking about it. I just looked in an old Gen. Helper and found her ad re Redding & Relatives and, also, Some Early Southern Settlers which includes the surname KAYLOR. Her address is: Billie Redding Lewis, 1104 Voncile St., Lake Wales, FL 33853-3919. I am positive she can help you on the Kaylor's in VA. Do you have anything on the KAYLORS in MD and PA? I am stumped on a DANIEL KAYLOR b ca 1780/90 was in the Franklin Co PA Census and then I lose him. He had a son DANIEL HENRY KAYLOR b ca1809 in PA whom is our ancestor. Daniel Henry Kaylor m Margaret ICKES in Bedford CO PA in 1827. He later was in Cambria, Indiana and Lawrence Cos. PA and then to Edgar Co IL/Vigo Co IN where he died in Terre Haute 1880. Would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Good luck with your quest in VA. Come to think of it, there was a JOHN KAYLOR in Franklin Co VA early on related to Billie's families. Hello, Welcome to the Koehler, surname group. You have probably already received your automated, welcome letter. There are important addresses there, so it is a good idea to save it in a folder for list information. I am pleased to have you join us. Hi. I'm looking for Kohler's in Richland County, Ohio ca. mid to late 1800's. William Kohler married Sarah (Sadie?) Hess. Their daughter, Ollie Kohler, married James W. Steward. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kat Steele Steward
I am looking for any information especially on the home city or parents of Bernhard Koehler. He was born October 18, 1865 in Pommerania, Germany. He married Augusta Hoeffert in 1887 in Pommerania. They had a son Otto born April 1889 while still living in Pommerania. They came to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1889. Additional children born in Milwaukee were Gustav born March 1890, Helwig born September 1891, Elsa born August 1893, Bernhard born September 1896, Reinhard born Oct 1898 and Clara born March 1895. There is another Bernhard Koehler who also came to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1883. He was born December 1858 in Saxon. He was married to Theresa born January 1862 in Liebzig. This second Bernhard Koehler causes much confusion. Thank you for your help. Gene

I am curious how people pronounce the name Koehler. I have always pronounced it "Cole-ler" but my father corrected me when I was doing the research on our family and said it was "Kay-ler" Is this a common pronounciation? Kim hapahapa@hula.net
