Knowlton, of St. Cloud, Minn., page 391, listing children, one of which is Maud. - "History of the Upper Mississippi Valley" published 1881 by Minn. Hist. Co. as listed on USGENWEB Contributed by Phil Holm, <pholm@rconnect.com>, Sept. 13, 1999. He lists index only. Could this be your Maude M, dau. of Will and Mary? You might want to chase this book down with the Minn. His. Society which may or may not be the publishing source. I have this William F. Knowlton as son of Francis Knowlton and Lovie Butler. His wife is listed not as Mary but Jane L. and or Irene L. Carrick by Stocking (pg. 261 and pg. 133, and pg. 88 errata). Six children are listed by Stocking and he notes that "they removed to St. Cloud, Minnesota." Possibly William F. was married twice or Stocking got her name wrong.
