Two years ago, 1/22/03, we had a query from <Maggies@bellsouth.net> asking for help with Edward Knowlton of Penobscot Cty., Me., and his wife Charlotte Stymiest. Edward is Eddy 1 yr, b. Me. (1860 cens.- Eddington, Penobscot, Me.) and Thomas E., 11 yr., b. Me. (1870 census - same town) son of Elias Frank Knowlton, (29 yr. - 1860) and (40 yr. 1870) and Charlotte H. Eddy; brother to Frank Oscar (4 yr, (1860 and 14 yr. 1870). Charlotte married John or James Nichols after the death of Elias Frank Knowlton. Her heritage is listed in "Eddy Family in America" found at several good libraries.
