    1. [KNOWLTON] Knowlton history is of American Knowltons
    2. Elizabeth Knowlton
    3. I am so sorry I was not clear, Juanita. Stocking's HISTORY OF THE KNOWLTONS . . . . and the following ERRATA AND ADDENDA are of the Ipswich, MA, Knowltons, not those who lived in England through the 17th-19th centuries. However, I must say that if you have tracked your family back to 1780, you are doing VERY well. In general, apart from American colonials, few lines can be traced back that far. Have you done all the regular English research, such as parish records, etc.? Elizabeth W.
