Dear Knowlton listers, I would like more people to join our list. However, some people find themselves unable to do this. Below is a sample complaint. >Well, Elizabeth, your very clear instructions worked fine until the final instructions: "subscribe" and "send". The server declined the "request". < Does anyone know what the problem is? Also, I have been working away on the dna project but have not heard from many of you. Is it price alone keeping male Knowltons from joining? How about sharing the cost among your immediate family members: sisters, aunts, grown children, etc. It would make a nifty birthday present. Let Carlisle know you are interested as he is very helpful. We have been very pleased we joined up and are now refocused on our research. And I am also working on the English end. Are any of you in England or Australia, New Zealand, etc, and can pinpoint your Knowltons in England in the 19th century. Have any of the rest of you heard from any English Knowltons? Is anyone willing to write to English Knowltons in phone books? Here is our chance to find out which group of Knowltons we actually relate to! Elizabeth W. Knowlton
