....but first a couple of things to pass on. Anthea Greenaway contacted Don KNIBBS the other day asking if he had any information on Mary KNIBB who married William PARGETER in Cropredy in 1831. They had 10 children and seemingly Mary was baptised on 23 July 1809 at Burton Dassett and died at Cropredy 5 November 1885. Anyone else related? Anthea has joined the Mailing List so will be reading this. She can also see her name amongst the K/NIBB/S Researchers at the website which I've just updated. Following the links from What's New/Latest you'll see that we also have a new member in Chris ATKINS, nee NIBBS. Her Easter was spent feeding me information about her NIBBS family from which we found the link to artist Richard Henry NIBBS. Fortunately, this coincided with Reg MAYHALL giving me a new url for his website which mentions one or two facts about the artist. These can be viewed from the link on the entry for Richard Henry NIBBS. Marsha has told me that the What's New link doesn't work in Netscape so I must correct that. Has anyone noticed anything else amiss? Meanwhile thanks to her for the Veterans Nationwide Grave locator. One KNIBB, two KNIBBS and six NIBBS on my search. I located Chris via Genesconnected and am chasing up other new contacts there in the hope that I can link more families together and recruit new active members for the Mailing List. Membership currently numbers 76. Don also tells me about Margaret Bland who is a descendant of the Warman family; the Alfred Warman who married Mary KNIBBS at Woodstock on 19 July 1857. He was the son of Edward and Mary Warman and was baptised at Brize Norton on 23 March 1828. Don already knew from census details that he was from Brize Norton and that he was a journeyman baker so he must be one and the the same. So once again 'grist to my mill' in more senses than one :-) I did once work in a bakery after being expelled from school. That's another story but has anyone else achieved that distinction or know of a K/NIBB/S who did? Incidentally, the foreman in the bakery told me that I 'kneaded dough badly' - well I like to say that and the sound of it was very true at the time! bfn Alan Alan Jackson Host at The K/NIBB/S One Name Study & Mailing List Website address http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~knibbetc Did you know?
