According to the Edwardsville (Illinois) Intelligence for December 26, 1940, "Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Farris, and daughter Miss Rose, had as their guest on Christmas Day, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Knibbs, Medora. Mr. and Mrs. Knibbs were married on November 11, the sixtieth anniversary of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Farris. Other guest were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Jarman and family of near Edwardsville.
