Stuart found an entry in 'The Times' archive relating to the sentencing at the Old Bailey of a Thomas NIBBS in September 1829. He was to be transported for 14 years. I do have a record of a Thoams KNIBBS bc1798, ploughman from Oxfordshire, who was transported for seven years having been sentenced on 29 July 1824 and who died at Paramatta NSW in 1856. Can anyone shed light on the 1829 convicted Thomas, who he was and where he ended his days?
