This is connected to KNIBBS otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. I am looking for some help please. I received the attached from a lady named Leah LOCKETT in Australia today. Can anyone help? My father Ernest Edward Knibbs born 02.04.1919, served in the Navy in WWII. He never bothered to collect his medals, after the war, as I think when he came back he was soon divorced. And also he just wanted to forget the War. Is it possible to write to some one in England and collect these medals, now. I think it would be a nice surprise for him. I know someone who has done a similar thing here in Australia for their Grandfather. Last week we went to an Anzac Day service at our daughters school , and I managed to get him to come along as a special guest, which was amazing, there were two other WWII serving gentlemen there and they were decked out with their medals and I felt for my Dad. I thought it might be a nice gesture - but as I am so far away, I don't know whom I should write to, or where to begin. If you have any idea's or suggestions, I would really appreciate them Leah Lockett nee Knibbs. Don
