I have mixed findings for Ellen/Helen. She's named as Helen Drinkwater in the transcript of Marriages from Woodstock so I suspect that is where we both got it from. The 1881 Census has her as Ellen Knibbs and the 1901 census has her as Helen. The 1891 census has her as Sarah Ann which I believe is a total transcription error as that was the name of their older daughter. Diane was quick to point out it should be Ellen so I'm sure she has strong evidence - I've asked her anyway. Checking through my records I see the closest connection we have on the KNIBB list with Diane Sharland who is descended from William and Ellen KNIBBS are Trevor Knibbs from Combe, Claire Graham, and Cathy Cliff. Trevor and Claire are 3rd cousins. Their g.grandfathers were brothers to Diane's g.grandfather in Woodstock. Cathy is a half third cousin. Cathy's g.g.grandfather John Knibbs from Woodstock married twice. Cathy is descended from Ann KNIBBS, a daughter from his first marriage. Diane is descended from William KNIBBS, a son from his second marriage.
