    2. Joyce Amazingly I came across a K/NIBB/S researcher living in Brantford and she immediately took up the cudgels with this. This is the information from the obituary in the Jan. 11, 1966 Brantford Expositor. " MARY E. HANINGTON NORWICH, Ontario - Miss Mary Elizabeth Hanington, 73, of Norwich, died Monday in Lakeside Nursing Home, Port Burwell. Surviving are one brother, Hazen of Norwich; one sister, Clara Augusta of Norwich. Private service will be held at the Arn and Son Funeral Home, Norwich. Cremation will be in London.' Back to the drawing board but she has told me of the following: Greenhill Cemetery in the Town of Kingsville, Ontario (on Lake Erie near Leamington) and a Greenhill Cemetery in Lucknow, Ontario (near Lake Huron and Kincardine). Perhaps Charlotte was buried at one of these, alongside her husband Frank, whose remains and headstone were apparently moved form Califiornia to Ontario. So the hunt continues and no need to check the microfilm when it comes through. bfn Alan

    3. Has anyone tried the Proceedings of the Old Bailey? Verbatim accounts of trials, with some fascinating social detail and information about the people who appeared. Boringly the five Knibbs appear only as victims and witnesses, but it provides an amazing chance to hear your ancestors speak in their own words. Just type in Knibbs under keyword or surname, and it is all there, free. Do go into the project timetable bit and sign up to support their application to get funding to put the 19th century records online- what would we turn up then?! Jan 1770 William Knibbs, servant to Mr. Hillman of Craven Street, The Strand. Witness. Jan 1776 William Knibbs, poulterer, Bloomsbury market. Character witness. April 1794 Thomas Knibbs, wife Ann, Old City Chambers, Bishopsgate Street Victim Jan 1795 William Thomas Knibbs witness July 1795 Thomas Knibbs Iron founder victim. Have fun, but be warned, this site is addictive. Julia Webb http://www.oldbaileyonline.org.uk
