For those following the saga, Richard's death appears on the Victoria VRI list Rob sent as dying Meeniyan in 1919 aged 95. His father is given as James. A quick search in the database has failed to find his baptism and we might never do so with any certainty because his mother's name is not given. Just a thought though, could he be son of the James bc1799 from Oxfordshire who was himself transported to Tasmania? We do have the knowledge that Richard was transported to Victoria in 1839 on the ship Parkfield and a transportation record of the crossing could I suppose tell us more. Whatever, we now have a tribe of K/NIBBS descended from him and Celia who lived to a grand age herself. So many many thanks to Rob. I'm still working through the list but descendants of Sir George Handley KNIBBS will recognise their family members there. bfn Alan Alan Jackson Host at The K/NIBB/S One Name Study & Mailing List Website address http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~knibbetc Did you know? 3. Hi Alan :) I'm just very glad I could finally give to the list instead of just receiving ... boy it felt good!! :D I'll do some searching over the next few days, see if I can't come up with a site that has convict records for Victoria. Who knows, we might get lucky and they'll be free! ;D Take care, Rob.
