    3. Hi Alan :) I just asked hubby in the hope he would know. He said he's always done it that way (month/day) but he has no idea why. I'm wondering WHEN they started doing it that way in the States, does anyone know? Perhaps after finally getting England out of America, they changed as one last act of defiance? Just my thought! ;D If you think it's hard with genealogy, spare a thought for this little Aussie ... Americans do month/day, Australians do day/month, Germans do day/month. Doesn't sound that confusing, does it? But it IS when you're living in Germany on a US military base and you're Australian. I can keep the Germans happy, but when you're dealing with the military who are living in another country, SOMETIMES they change to suit the country ... grrrrrrrrrrrr!!! I don't write the numbers now on ANY forms, I always put, for example, January 1, 2004. That way EVERYONE knows what I mean!! lol Take care, Rob. I'm always wary of transatlantic dates in this form and wonder how the difference came about in the first place ie why in England do we put day/month but in the USA, month/day? Does anyone know? bfn Alan > I looked at the film for the Brantford Expositor newspaper for the above > death notice. However, I did not find any.
