from the Devizes and Wiltshire Gazette Thursday, April 4th, 1833 DEVIZES A Public Meeting of the Inhabitants of Devizes and it Vicinity, will be held at the Town Hall, on Saturday next, the 6th of April, for the purpose of agreeing to Petitions to both Houses of Parliament, for the Abolition of Negro Slavery throughout the British Dependencies. The Chair will be taken at 12 o'clock precisely. The Rev.Mr.Knibb, of Jamaica, will attend the Meeting. Devizes, April 2d, 1833.
