Hi Alan :) No need to reimburse me, I'm going to go view them anyway in the hope that we'll at least get a few out of it too. I guess we'll put it down to a lesson learned, won't we? ;D Take care, Rob. They do have a 'disclaimer' to this effect but it appears after the search criteria although flagged before it. A FAQ on the website is nevertheless misleading and I've asked them to re-word it. It really is hit and miss whether any K/NIBB/S appear in the overseas records. Don has found 22 in his first trawl of KNIBB births but that meant looking at 100+ records. Indeed he had only a one in ten hit rate. With that limited 'success', I don't think I can justify asking anyone to continue with the exercise and feel that I should compensate anyone out of pocket. There are, I suspect, likely to be fewer K/NIBB/S marriages abroad and I'm not certain as to the extent that death would have been recorded anyway. Has anyone used www.BMDIndex.co.uk If so, I'd welcome feedback. bfn Alan Alan Jackson Host at The K/NIBB/S One Name Study & Mailing List Website address http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~knibbetc Did you know?
