Alan, There is a Knibbs Street in Turner, ACT (Australian Capital territory), Australia that my father thinks is named after my grandfather Layton. In checking it out on the web, I found there is a place names department in the ACT government and Ive asked them what they know about the origin. Will advise when they get back to me.
